Our Anti-Flicker capacitors are designed to work on cars that get a flickering or strobe affect after installing HID Conversion Kit. These capacitors are used on cars that are equipped with can-bus systems or equipped with Day-Light Running Lamps (DRL). Due to the construction of these cars if you install HID kit the headlights will flicker for a few seconds then shut off. To avoid this issue you will need to install these Capacitors inline with the HID kit.

Note: Selected Car owners with DRL Lamps such as Honda's and other Japanese cars have reported no Flickering with HID Kits. 

Another use for these Capacitors is to eliminate the bulb out warning or bulb failure warning displayed in the dashboard computer found in high end cars such as Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus and Mercedes. This doesn't mean that you can't use HID kits on these cars. You could use HID lights on these cars but you will need this capacitor to eliminate the warning lamp.

What Are these Capacitors and Why do I need Them?

In the past decade or so we noticed increase in the use of computers and module in our daily driven cars. Now a days computers and modules control and sense almost every part of the cars. That includes the headlight assembly. These computers and modules communicate with each other as well as the master computer better known as BCM. When you install an HID Kit you are changing the signal coming from the Headlight module to the BCM. The computer try to adjust its voltage output to the headlight which causes the HID bulb to flicker for a few seconds. The HID kit has a self protection system which shuts the kit off to protect the bulbs.
